The brief for this project was to create a de-mountable, weatherproof and eye-catching mobile shop that both reflected and boosted the image of the VIVO barefoot brand. Inspired by VIVO\'s hexagonal logo, we expanded this form to its logical conclusion; a 3D \'globe\' formed entirely from tessellating hexagons.
We made a virtue from the restrictions of size and structure imposed upon us, creating a bold and striking statement which would appear incongruous in a wider, more elaborate space. Functionally and visually, the VIVOpod also invokes something of the tardis, or (more aptly) \'space-machine\', with a perceptual internal space which feels much greater than the sum of its parts. Such a design perfectly fulfilled the client\'s requirements for a strongly customised and functional form which is nonetheless unique, iconic and sexy.
